Cognizant Courses was founded in 2018 in Gatineau, Quebec, by a small group of educators and technologists who were frustrated with the state of online learning. Too many platforms offered shallow, outdated content that left learners feeling unprepared for real-world challenges. We set out to build something different — a course platform where every lesson is designed by working professionals, reviewed by academic advisors and tested with actual students before publication.
In our first year, we launched twelve courses across technology and business. The response was overwhelming. Learners appreciated the depth of our materials, the responsiveness of our instructors and the practical projects woven into every module. Word spread quickly through professional networks across Quebec and Ontario, and by the end of 2019 we had served over three thousand students.
Today, our catalogue includes more than one hundred and fifty courses spanning six major disciplines. We have a team of forty-five instructors, curriculum designers and support staff, all united by the conviction that education should be rigorous, accessible and directly applicable to the careers our learners are building.

We never cut corners on content quality. Every course undergoes a multi-stage review process involving subject-matter experts, instructional designers and beta testers. If a module does not meet our standard, it goes back to the drawing board until it does. This commitment to rigour is why our completion rates consistently exceed industry averages.
Theory matters, but application matters more. Each course includes hands-on projects, case studies drawn from real organisations and assessments that mirror workplace challenges. Our learners do not just memorise concepts — they practise using them in scenarios that prepare them for Monday morning at the office.
We believe that geography, income level and background should never be barriers to quality education. That is why we offer flexible payment plans, scholarship programs for underrepresented communities and course materials designed to meet WCAG accessibility guidelines. Learning should be for everyone.
Learning is inherently social. Our platform fosters peer-to-peer interaction through discussion forums, study groups and collaborative projects. Co-founder and chief executive. Nathalie brings fifteen years of experience in higher education administration and a deep passion for making learning accessible. She oversees company strategy, partnerships and long-term vision.
Head of curriculum. With a background in instructional design and a master's degree in education technology, Arjun leads the team that develops, reviews and continuously improves every course in our catalogue.
Director of learner success. Sophie manages our support, mentoring and community engagement teams. Her mission is to ensure that every student who enrols in a course feels supported from day one through graduation and beyond.
